2009 MERCEDES-BENZ C220 CDI AUTOMATIC

We took this Mercedes in part exchange, and to be completely honest, with it being a 2009 car showing 183,000 miles, I wasn’t originally going to retail it.

However, I’ve personally been driving the car for the last couple of days and it’s genuinely surprised me. It drives really, really well for its age and mileage. The 2.1 CDI diesel pulls well, the automatic gearbox drives nicely and it’s a comfortable, economical old Mercedes out on the road.

After using it myself for a couple of days, I’m happy enough with the car to retail it and feel confident that it’ll make someone a cracking cheap car and hopefully see them out for the next couple of years.

We’ve just freshly serviced the car ourselves, so that’s already taken care of for the new owner.

It currently has MOT until March next year, but at the full asking price of £2,300, I’m happy to put a fresh 12-month MOT on it for the new owner as well.

Despite the age and mileage, it will also come with our 30-day warranty, giving both the new owner and ourselves some added peace of mind.

Now, I’m not going to dress it up as something it isn’t. It’s a 17-year-old Mercedes with 183,000 miles, so please don’t come expecting a showroom-condition example.

The main cosmetic downside is one of the wheel arches is a little crusty and has previously been touched in. It’s not rotten to the point where you can poke your finger through it, but it’s there, and I’d rather tell you before you come and see it.

If you’re more interested in how a car drives than a slightly crusty wheel arch, this is well worth a look.
